Who we are
SoftwareBox is a satellite receiver software and modification-tools app operated by Khan Dish Network. This policy applies to the Android app, its member API and temporary processing services used by specific tools.
Information we handle
We handle account data such as name, email address, authentication credentials, account preferences and active-session information; member activity such as favorites, download history and notifications; and limited app, device, request and security information needed to protect accounts and secure downloads. If Google sign-in is chosen, SoftwareBox receives a verified Google account identifier, name, email address and optional profile photo. SoftwareBox does not receive the Google password and does not retain the Google ID token after server verification. When background update counts are enabled, SoftwareBox stores an encrypted Firebase notification token and its last registration time for the active device session.
Google Mobile Ads may automatically process and share the device IP address, app and ad interactions, diagnostic information, Android advertising or app-set identifiers and other applicable device/account identifiers for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention according to the privacy choices presented to the user. The IP address may be used to estimate general location. SoftwareBox does not request ads until the consent service confirms they may be requested. SoftwareBox also records privacy-minimized paid-ad measurements supplied by Google: placement, ad format, estimated value in micros, currency, precision and time. These measurement events do not contain a member id, device id, advertising id, ad creative or viewed catalog content. Selected modification tools use a clearly disclosed video ad, and the tool opens only when the advertising service confirms completion. If a video cannot load or show for a technical reason, SoftwareBox may offer one explicit grace access; closing a loaded video early keeps the tool locked. Users may separately choose one video ad for a device-local 30-minute break from regular ads shown while browsing and after completed downloads. The pass expiry is stored on the device; videos needed to open special tools continue.
Firmware, downloads and tools
BIN, ABS and related receiver files are saved on the device. Sharing, folder copy and USB copy occur only after the user chooses the action. Offline tools process selected files on the device. A tool requiring protected server processing may temporarily transmit user-selected firmware or XML over HTTPS; temporary inputs and outputs are scheduled for deletion within two hours.
Permissions
Internet access supports accounts, catalog data, secure downloads, selected tool requests and ads. Notification permission supports download progress and completion. Storage access is requested only on older Android versions where needed to save a user-selected file. SoftwareBox does not request contacts, call logs, microphone, camera or precise location permission.
Use, sharing and sale
Information is used to operate accounts, sync member features, issue secure download tickets, deliver files, prevent abuse, process selected tool jobs, provide support and show policy-compliant ads. Data may be processed by hosting/security providers, trusted file-delivery providers, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for opted-in receiver update counts and Google Mobile Ads. We do not sell personal or sensitive user data.
Community discussions and safety
When you use comments, SoftwareBox processes the text and images you choose to post, your public display name and profile image, reply relationships, timestamps and moderation state. Other signed-in members can view active posts.
Reports record the reporting member, the reported comment or account, the selected reason and optional details. Blocking records the relevant account identifiers so unwanted content can be hidden. Community Guidelines acceptance, reports and moderation actions are retained as needed to enforce safety, prevent repeat abuse and respond to disputes. Public app users cannot access moderation records.
Retention and deletion
Account data is retained while the account is active. Account deletion removes the account and member data described on the public deletion page. Existing discussion posts may remain without the deleted account identity so conversations and safety records remain understandable; limited report or moderation records may be retained when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, disputes or legal obligations. Local downloads remain until the user deletes them. Temporary server tool files are scheduled for deletion within two hours. Privacy-minimized paid-ad measurement events are retained for up to 180 days for aggregate performance analysis.

Your controls
Users can manage notifications, favorites, download history, active sessions and advertising privacy choices. Users can separately control Original products, Local Receiver/China software, favourites and the app-icon update count, and choose Smart grouping, more frequent grouped counts or one daily summary. Receiver updates are kept out of the Android status bar; numeric app-icon counts depend on launcher support. Disabling the app-icon count or signing out unregisters that device. Engineering Tool activity does not create notifications. Android notification permission is used for user-initiated download progress and completion. The side menu offers an optional, clearly disclosed video that hides regular ads for 30 minutes only after completion. Declining or dismissing it does not block normal app use, and videos needed to open special tools continue. The Profile page provides permanent account deletion. Security, children and changes
SoftwareBox uses HTTPS and access controls designed to protect data, but no system can guarantee absolute security. The service is not directed to children under 13. This policy may change when app features, providers or legal requirements change; the effective date will be updated.
